Land, Water, and Trees

Description

Lately I’ve been experimenting with the use of light in my tonal works, playing with the ways varying light levels affects the surrounding landscape.  Here, the afternoon sun illuminates a Louisiana landscape.  Tonalism helps with this idea the most, allowing me address each individual aspect of the painting with differing levels of light to accurately capture the illuminated landscape.
