landscape architecture
Lue Svendson has always been inspired by her homeland of Louisiana.
Before she created the landscapes she adores with paint brushes,
she received a BLA in Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University in 1975
and has lovingly sculpted the Earth for clients ever since.
She is fascinated with lines, shapes, colors, and textures found in the natural world
and uses these as her core design principles
in both painting and architecture.
Her work has been featured in Louisiana Home and Garden Magazine
and The American Art Collector Magazine.
She was awarded the Artisan Award in House and Home Magazine in both 2013 and 2014.
By interweaving her artistic worlds, Lue has developed a heightened attention to detail
that can be felt in all of her work.
“Svendson’s art cannot be separated from time and place where it is firmly rooted.
In a way that is rarely as successful.
Her paintings are transportive for the viewer.
With an adept use of color and texture as essential parts of her toolbox,
a magical trip is gifted from artist to viewer.”
